The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead

The first of the finals at the Al Shira’aa British Young Horse Championships took place today at the All England Jumping Course, Hickstead.

A number of leading showjumpers will return to Hickstead next week for the Al Shira’aa British Young Horse Championships (13-16 August).

The National Pony Society and the All England Jumping Course at Hickstead are due to launch a new In-Hand Championship Series, culminating in a final at the Agria Royal International Horse Show in 2027.

What a fantastic Agria Royal International Horse Show we had, with success for the Brits in the Nations Cup, a whole host of Hickstead trebles, and winners of all shapes and sizes.

Last year’s winners Robert Whitaker and Vermento secured a third win in the Al Shira’aa King George V Gold Cup today, on the final day of the Agria Royal International Horse Show.

Three-time hack champions Helen Baker and Boston Black Tie added the ultimate accolade to their record: the Barberstown Castle Supreme Ridden Horse Championship.

Holly Smith made the journey down from Leicestershire to Hickstead with one aim – to win this year’s JCL Insurance Brokers Queen Elizabeth II Cup. 

Two triple champions were crowned in the International Arena on the penultimate day of the Agria Royal International Horse Show (Saturday 25 July).
