Reigning champion Mark Edwards made it a triumphant double in today’s British Speed Derby, with a decisive 4.55sec win on Dillinger NE.

It was the hunters who took centre stage on the penultimate day of showing classes at the Al Shira'aa Hickstead Derby Meeting, with the conclusion of the prestigious Agria Hunter Championship. 

The 2023 Al Shira’aa Derby winner David Simpson and Pjotr Van De Kruishoeve laid down the gauntlet for a repeat win with a superb victory in the Agria Derby Trial.

There was a home win in The Breen Equestrian Beethoven 7 & 8 Year Old Championship, when Sandy McLean claimed a brilliant victory with Orville VD Watermolen.

Amateur owner-rider Caroline Mackness made a spectacular return to the International Arena to claim the Cob Championship with Redy Steady Eddie.
